Used Sony digital handycam. Tested this unit myself. It seems to work well. I tested all basic functions. VCR mode Play/ record / f/rew. Camera mode, recorded content and played it back. Tested nightvision- it works and is cool! I checked the focus for the lens and the eyepiece. Tape insert and removal function works. Eyepiece moves up and down normally. Menu options buttons work and they show up on the screen. I did not check all the input output ports. But they look clean and normal. My tests were done with ac power connected. The batteries do indicate that they are charging when connected but I suspect these batteries may not hold a charge. They are old and have been stored for a while. The camera is in very good cosmetic shape, except the vinyl on the inside of the hand strap has flaked off. But not much wear on the camera surface. Very few surface scratches if any.
